How much is insurance for a 16 year old?

So Im looking to buy a car when I turn 16 in a few months.. preferably the 2012 beetle which comes out to be around $25,000 and about $400 a month for 72 months. And I am also looking to get a job and work as many hours as I can, including the summer AND when school is back in session. I live in Southern California so minimum wage is $8.00… I am just hoping I can afford the car even with the cost of insurance… and after taxes as well! Im having trouble figuring it out so PLEASE help! Thanks :)

You’re probably looking at $800 a month, just for insurance, since you have to have payments.

Insurance / Invisalign Question How To Pay?

I really need your help guys.I am in my mid-twenties and work in a professional setting so traditional braces are not an option for me.Please excuse my stubbornness, but I’m just trying to avoid suggestions of traditional braces.

I am interested in Invisalign but do not have the money to pay for it.The ortho office I visited had a "home-made" version similar to Invisalign but I didn’t seem to qualify.I was quoted at almost $7,000.

I am a full-time college student but ortho is not covered under my parents’ insurance. They offered a payment plan, loan but my credit was denied.

Is there a cheaper way to get the Invisalign?I really, really want this done.Is there a way to get ortho insurance at this point that would make it cheaper in the long run?

What would you guys do?!

Just like, "I’m interested in a lamborghini but don’t have the money to pay for it".

There’s no cheaper way.Ortho insurance only pays the first $1,000 or $1500 – that’s how ortho works. You pay the rest, whether it’s $3,000 more, or $6,000 more.

There are some places that are cheaper, but do a really bad job, which will look worse than metal braces, and may cause you to lose your teeth, forever.

There is no cheap way to get invisalign done right.

Getting ortho insurance at this point, or at any other point, will not make Invisalign cheaper in the long run or the short run or any other run.Ortho insurance does not cover Invisalign. The only thing that getting ortho insurance will do is to cost you money that you could have used for Invisalign.Invisalign is not cheaper with ortho insurance than without it.

What would I do?I would get traditional braces with white brackets and wires.

You are a 20 year old college student!

The owner of my company is worth millions and h had traditional braces for about two years not too long ago.Why can’t a 20 year old college student do the same?Get over yourself.

How can i get unemployment ?

First, you have to get a job. Then, if your employer terminated you from that job, you may be eligible for unemployment. You would go to the unemployment office and apply.

In order to qualify for unemployment you need to have worked the past 12-18 months, earned a certain amount of qualifying wages, and been laid off from your job through no fault of your own. If you meet the criteria, you can google unemployment and the state you worked in to find the unemployment web site. You can then file your initial claim online. If you are simply unemployed and have not held a job in the past 12-18 months, you do not qualify for unemployment compensation. The state will contact your former employer to find out why you no longer work there. After they complete their investigation they will send you a notice of financial determination letting you know if your claim has been approved or denied.

The first answer, the one saying to go to the office, is wrong. In most states, you cannot do it at the office, and you have to do it online, by mail, or by phone.

You cannot do it the way that it is done in other states. You have to do it the way that it is done in your state.I do not have time to list 50 different ways, even though every state is slightly different. If you need a detailed answer, post the question again with the name of the state.

Go to the unemployment office and apply.

Google your states’ web site. You can file on line

You file with your state. Most states, you can do it online.

How much is a first class elegant funeral cost? with limo, funeral home etc?

not including cemetery spot and stone. i was thinking 200000,300000$ and leave whatever is leftover for my boys. the cemetery is paid off already.

Thats a pretty big number, limos are not that expensive.

Gift the money to your kids instead!!Just make sure (assuming you trust them) that they will honor your wishes and use some of that gifted money to pay for your funeral.

What a waste of money. Get yourself a cheap cremation, & donate the rest to a charity. Those blood-sucking funerel home owners have enough money already.

Why would ANYbody waste that kind of money on a funeral? Are you a head of state or a celebrity????There’s a reason funeral directors make good money.

Where can I get affordable dental insurance?

If you already have an issue, don’t expect any policy you purchase today to help you at all for quite a while.Dental policies usually have long waiting periods as opposed to preexisting condition exclusions like health insurance.

You can call around, but honestly, dental insurance is generally not cost effective unless purchased as a large group plan.Unless your employer is offering dental insurance, it is a bad investment.Set aside money for it and just pay the bills.

I sell dental insurance, but don’t generally recommend it except to larger (100+ employee) businesses.

Affordable dental insurance is a plan where your employer subsidizes the majority of the premium.Years ago this was a standard offering of most employers, but is becoming more and more rare.

Paying the premium yourself via payroll deduction is the next best choice.Pre-tax savings can amount to 1/3 or more depending upon your income, and state taxes you pay.

Paying 100% of the premium using after tax is least affordable.Insurers price and design the policies in order to take in more in premium than they pay in benefits.Don’t expect to find an equation that works differently.

One overlooked benefit – buying a dental plan allows you to pay the wholesale rate for services. In network providers agree to cap rates in exchange for patient volume.Sometimes the difference between retail and wholesale (usual customary reasonable fees) may make a big difference.

Most dental plans will pay for exams and x-rays.But most will require a 6 month wait for extractions and fillings. On anything else, may have to wait 1 year. Also the other thing that most have is a $1,000 per year max they will cover. In orthodontics, that would mean a 1 year wait, they pay a one time payment of $1,000 and they are done.

Individual plans are lousy, and the only good ones are through an employer’s group plan.

good luck

Between deductibles, waiting times, coinsurance, and coverage limits, I’ve never seen a private dental policy that pays out more than it costs.

Do the math.Dental insurance is something that is realistically "self insurable".

please call any insurance company

Where can you find the hardcore insurance films on the computer?

when i was in school they showed some films of auto accidents, actual hardcore, death and dismemberment.these films caused me to slow down my driving.i’m trying to find these films to show to my kids to slow them down. can anyone help

Those aren’t insurance films – they’re put out by the department of highway safety. That’s probably what the problem is.

And, if your kids are driving too fast, take the keys, and don’t let them drive.

I live in Denver, does insurance pay for medical marijuana?

I have rhuematoid arthritis, and doctors won’t give pain meds any stronger than naproxen for pain and I take 1500mg and it doesn’t help with the pain so I am wanting to ask for medical marijuana.

Medical marijuana is not legal in any state. In all 50 states, medical marijuana violates a federal law. However, this law is not currently being enforced. So medical marijuana is effectively like driving 1 mph faster than the posted speed limit:Officially illegal, but happening openly in thousands of places without anything being being done to stop it.

That being said, insurance does not pay for it.

every health insurance policy is going to be different from every other policy/plan

if medical marijuana is not legal in Colorado, then no one is going to cover it – I doubt ANY health insur plan anywhere covers it and even if it did, it wouldn’t cover very much of the cost

No, it won’t pay for medical marijuana.

You have GOT to be kidding…and weed doesn’t help arthritis anyway.

Huge bill after cancelling renewed O2 Contract?

Hi everyone,

I have called O2 customer service on the 22nd December with the intention of leaving O2.

However they offered me a new contract with a 14 day cool-off period.

I thought the new contract was reasonable so agreed with renewing my current O2 contract which was finishing on the 4th January 2012.

Despite this, I found a better deal and so called up O2 customer service on the 2nd January 2012.

I made it clear that I was leaving O2 because I have found a better deal, they understood and so I requested a PAC code to transfer my current mobile number to my new provider.

I ported-in with my new provider on the 4th January 2012 and advised by my new provider that the whole process will be completed by 9PM.

However, the whole process did not finish until the early morning of 5th January 2012.

Today, I have received a bill from O2 of £120. Is this right?

I renewed my O2 contract on the 22nd December, called O2 customer services that I would like to cancel on the 2nd January; this makes it under the 14 day cool-off period right? Or is this bill to keep/transfer my existing O2 number to another network provider? :S

There is no fee involved in Porting your number. I would ring them and ask for an explanation in writing.

Hi there, as you have ported over on the 4th January it can take up to 14 days to recalculate your bill. This will then be sent to you with the final amount.if this is more than you expected we’d suggest contacting customer services so they can look into this for you.
